A big chunk of yesterday was spent at the beach, where we saw two very interesting things:

  1. Two flocks of flamingos, each with about 30 members, flying about
  2. A Bollywood (AKA Indian) film under production in the adjacent park

Even though it was over 100 F (38 C), the water was still nice, and it was pleasant to have a picnic under the palm-fronded pavillion on the beach.

Little W is convinced that "Rock a Bye Baby" is actually "Rocket Bye Baby." He kept requesting last night that I sing him the song about the rocket.

Be sure to make note of some of Little W's cute sayings. You will treasure them years from now. Did you see any "pecilans" on the beach? That was one of my favorites of yours. Sounds like some of those great, miserably hot picnics we used to have on the Alabama beaches years ago.

Aw, too cute! Sounds like a fun time! That would be pretty odd to see flamingos like that since all we are used to here are the pelicans and seagulls on the beach. I send my love to you all!!!

I wish we were there since I love picnics in the shade at the beach . We don't get to the beach on Long Island Sound very often since it is about an hour away and we don't make the time for it. We are trying to drive less to reduce our fuel use. Also, M does not like any bugs swarming around him so he does not stay outside very long.
